NOTES FROM THE PRODUCER!
Let's go on a more orchestic side... Nah not really. Writing the piano part was... really REALLY hard. I didn't know what I wanted this to be. I was inspired by Journey's Don't Stop Believing and Prince's Purple Rain. It was really horrible. I needed to delete the project like 8 times since I just didn't really like it. It felt "half-assed" so to say. I dunno why Neetcat liked it but then I treated them as sketches. I played with it more without even thinking of the end product. I copied and reorganized the motif of Luminescent again and again pairing it up with some chords and intervals that just felt good to play with no functional property. I could probably even say that Bach's Goldberg Variations and Well Tempered Clavier helped assist me in improvising the chords of the piano section. I was getting somewhere and the length of the piano section just kept getting longer. I've also been listening to more jazz fusion bands like Casiopea and little by little the song started to click. I recalled Eric Clapton's Layla and said to myself "Maybe the piano section could start first then the band comes in." So I went with that instead!

Introducing a modulated version of Vitality's score into the mix just was a cheeky move for me. But it was fun! Definitely not running out of ideas. It was like a cheeky call out. Luminescent is a nice track that gave me uplifting and major scale vibes. I love mixing different genres here and there and I guess that's a nice advantage of digital music production. Speaking of new genres, I was inspired by more fusion and Latin music when I did the percussion breaks. I think percussion really adds a nice touch of excitement. Like a "reharmonization of a drum beat" if that makes any sense. It "fills in the pockets of the beat to further fine tune its control over the groove". Over all this was a REAALLY rewarding track to work on... however it lasts for probably 10 minutes. So if you sat through it, I once again thank you for listening to my musical ideas.

Last of all Youtube how dare you use compression to regulate volume playback. Just turn down the gain like what spotify does.

Also more rambling.
"So jazz fusion... i don't really know much about it."
"I like Genesis, Weather Report, YES!, Chick Corea (RIP), H.Hancock, and Miles Davis because Miles Davis"
"Okay i might sound redundant but... Justice AND Stevie Wonder? Imagine like Justice VS Stevie Wonder and they both got grand pianos and they just improv over each other's music. That is just thrilling to think about."
"How to make your synths sound thick? Run them through very slight saturation with the highest resampling. And ofcourse bounce them to a WAV file to save on CPU."
"Impulse Response kits are just WONDERFUL inventions that help you get a Vintage 30 in your pocket... meaning anywhere. Just imagine a boogie or a v30 or v25 all in a Wav file."
"About Tony Banks. That ARP quadra sound from Behind the Lines is just BWAH BWAH. It assaults you."
"I really enjoy thinking about Helltaker characters in a band if that wasn't already apparent."
"Does Lucifer like the sound of the Yamaha DX7?"
"I really feel that Beelzebub's personality would make her pick the Bass as her main instrument."
"You are free to think of Lucifer and Justice dissing it out on a saxophone battle"
