This vehicle had an extremely loud whistling/screeching noise that resembled a loose belt. It turned out to be a damaged CCV diaphragm located in the valve cover that was creating the noise and the problem was remedied by replacing the entire valve cover assembly. The CCV is available online, but it is not designed to be serviced in this manner and is intended to be replaced as one unit. For a reliable repair, the VC should be replaced.

Only basic tools required including metric sockets, a set of external torx bits, 4mm and 5mm Allen wrenches, 3” and 6” extensions and a swivel.
