Kalaimamani Isaiperarignar Sembonnarkovil SRD Vaidyanathan is the son of Sembonnarkovil SR Dhakshinamoorthy Pillai and Grand son of the Great Sembonnarkovil Ramasamy Pillai.This family is famous for Rakthimelam.SRD Vaidyanathan played many concerts of All India Radio at Trichy Madras AIR and Akila Baratha National priogrammes and Radio Sangeetha Sammelan and Doordarsan with his elder brother Late SRD Muthukumarasami Pillai of Mayuram and now living at Adambakkam Chennai .Now he is aged more than 85 .But see how easily he handles this very tough instrument .These SRDMuthukumarasami Vaidyanathan Bros are very famous to play the instrument as North Indian Shenoi.Hence they were very famous in North India and thus they had the concerts at Varanasi, Calcutta ,Imphal, and North Eastern provinces
