Moons are a common feature throughout our solar system, but two of the major planets don't have them, Mercury and Venus. It's easy to figure out why Mercury doesn't have one, it's too close to the sun, but Venus on the other hand is harder to explain. Did our sister planet ever have a moon? If it did, then what happened to it? What exactly were early astronomers seeing that led them to think there was a moon? Was it actually a moon or something else? In this observation we'll attempt to find the clues to help crack the case of Venus's missing moon.
