Boatadvice’s Tegan Lawson recently had a firsthand look at the new to Australia, Sealver Jet Ski Boats. This French company developed the concept of boat hulls that can accommodate PWCs in conjunction with Yamaha Motor Europe but they can be used with Seadoo and Yamaha PWCs. The PWC straps into the rear of the Jet Ski Boat to create more space and versatility for owners more used to the one-dimensional PWC that almost requires at least one other friend with a vessel of his own. Strapping the PWC into the boat is simple with little more to do than drive into the rear of the hull and tighten a few straps.
The custom trailer the vessel sits on is a nifty design that allows you to tow the whole package to the ramp and decide whether you want to take it all out, or only the PWC. Once out there, you can also unstrap the PWC and power off into the unknown leaving your guests to fend for themselves on the anchored up Sealver.
Boatadvice were impressed with the finish on both vessels we looked at with the Waveboat 525 aimed at sporty users who may have children and be keen to get them out on the water and wakeboarding. It seats four plus the driver of the PWC and includes a tower, comfortable seating, storage, anchor locker and a swim platform
At the other end of the scale is the 575 RIB. This boat is your people mover of the range and can accommodate eight. It has plenty of room and is aimed more at the fishing and diving fraternity.
These craft are ideal for Australian conditions and Boatadvice recommends anyone who currently has a PWC and is looking for more should check them out before they consider selling their pride and joy.
