Start English Paper Piecing - Ep. 01 // Choose fabric, thread and colors for your quilt

This will be a series of videos about quilting and English Paper Piecing (EPP) !

This first episode is about choosing suitable fabric, threads and harmonious colors (a little color theory will be added to the mix to simplify the process!).

The second episode will be about cutting (fabric, paper templates, fussy cutting). The third will be about tacking fabric to templates (various techniques) and sewing the hexagons together with a few tips and tricks sprinkled along the way!

Thread: fine, 80 weight thread recommended. I’m using 50 weight in this video.

Needles: Betweens or Sharps, but whatever works for you will be great! Sometimes sharps are just too sharp for your fingertips ;)
