Srinagar, April 09 (ANI): Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha on April 09 flagged off a special cleaning drive to preserve the famous Dal Lake. This drive was started at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC). A good number of people including lake dwellers, a large number of labourers, and college students participated in this drive. Dal lake is one of the precious water bodies and is considered one of the important heritage sites that attract thousands of tourists every year from all over the world. Tourism is at its peak these days as thousands of tourists are visiting Dal lake to enjoy Shikara Ride. Water bodies are cleaned to attract more tourists and preserve them for future generations. Students from different colleges also participated in this important drive and demanded to continue such types of cleaning drives to preserve the heritage that is playing a vital role to promote Kashmir tourism.
