On April 26, 2024, Lakewood Police Officers were dispatched to a complaint of a female passed out behind the wheel of a sedan blocking a driveway. Officers arrived and attempted several times to bang on the window to wake the driver up. When that didn't work, they opened the driver's door and attempted to shake the 39-year-old woman awake. She was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests and was ultimately arrested for having physical control of a vehicle while under the influence of liquor. The police report indicates that she submitted to an evidential breath test and the result was 0.29% BAC. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
