🩱 Step 1: Buy a Wet Suit
To swim, you need to first purchase a Wet Suit.
🛒 Where to Buy a Wet Suit:
Go to the Nook Stop Terminal at Resident Services
Choose Redeem Nook Miles, then select the Nook Inc. Wet Suit (costs 800 Nook Miles)
You can also check Nook’s Cranny or the Nook Shopping app under the Daily Selection tab for other styles of Wet Suits
📦 Once ordered, the Wet Suit will be mailed to you the next day, or available instantly if bought from the shop.
🎽 Step 2: Equip the Wet Suit
Once you have the suit:
Open your inventory, select the Wet Suit, and press “Wear”
It will replace your current outfit's torso slot
You can still wear shoes and headgear with your Wet Suit
✅ You’re now ready to hit the beach!
🏖️ Step 3: Go to the Beach and Enter the Water
To get into the ocean:
Head to the edge of your island, near any beach or cliffside
Stand near the shoreline or on a rock
Press “A” to jump into the water
💡 Run and press “A” near the edge to do a jumping flip into the water!

Once you're in the water:
Use the Left Stick (L) to move in any direction
Press “A” repeatedly to swim faster while steering with the left stick

To dive:
Swim near the bubbles
Press “Y” to dive
Use the left stick to swim underwater toward the shadow
Once you're close enough, your character will automatically collect the item
