Unboxing 2024 Epiphone Joe Bonamassa 1955 Les Paul Standard in Copper Iridescent

Описание к видео Unboxing 2024 Epiphone Joe Bonamassa 1955 Les Paul Standard in Copper Iridescent

It's that time of year again. Joe Bonamassa and Epiphone have teamed up, again, for another signature model. This time, it's a Les Paul based on a 1955 Standard that, according to some lore, was a NAMM show piece in 1955. There were very few made but Joe wound up with two of them, and now Epiphone has launched this version for the 2024 collaboration.
This model comes with Epiphone P90 Pro pickups. And, as we find out in the video, they are just about identical to the output of the P90 pickups in our Les Paul Junior and SG Special. So, while they are Epiphone pickups, they are equal to their Gibson counterparts.
The neck on this one is thicker than a '60s Standard, but not nearly as thick as the R7 or R8. The '50s Standard that I had was about the same feel, maybe a tiny bit thicker.
Copper Iridescent is an AMAZING color in person. I couldn't get the camera to really focus in on how nice this color is, so I'll have to try and capture it better in another video. Just know that if you're a fan of reddish brown colors, you'll love it.
I would say this guitar is better than the Lazarus model from a few years ago. Not quite as solid feelings as the Black Beauty, but better than Lazarus, which was plagued with loose pickups.
Check out the video and see what you think. Talk about it in the comments and let us know if you'd rock this one or if it's a pass.

Enjoy!
