1. Deborah's childhood interest in nursing, was sparked by her father's first-aid kit and care for the family's health.
2. Deborah is very appreciative of the supportive environment provided by her parents, who encouraged her nursing aspirations despite discouragement from others.
3. The challenges Deborah faced when transitioning from nursing school to real-world practice, include the gap between theory and practice, lack of social/entrepreneurial skills, and cultural adjustments.
4. Deborah's current areas of interest and specialization, include end-of-life care, diabetes management, and tissue viability/pressure ulcer prevention.
5. Deborah's has a desire to see more support and mentorship among nurses, especially for the next generation.
6. Deborah's advice for aspiring nurses is to stay focused, maintain compassion, and seek mentorship.
7. Deborah's approach to self-care, emphasizes the importance of conscious rest and relaxation, both physically and mentally.
