Mokai Es-kape Jet Kayak – 1000 Miles And Counting!

Описание к видео Mokai Es-kape Jet Kayak – 1000 Miles And Counting!

I’ve had the Mokai jet kayak for a year and a half now and have put 1000 miles on it. All the upgrades are working well, but I made a couple of small changes. I replaced the fiberglass muffle cover with one I made out of ¼” HDPE. It is much stronger, and I tend to grab it at times to maneuver the boat around along the riverbanks.
I added a check valve into the bilge pump hose to prevent water from coming into the output port and getting into the engine compartment.
I had PainlessTom update my gearbox with his new washer to prevent the pump shaft from destroying the lips on the seals when installing the pump. The washer keeps the shaft in line so that it goes straight through the seal, keeping the seal intact.
PainlessTom also advises to pull the pump before adding any grease if your gearbox has a grease fitting. With the ES-Kape 2.0, you don’t need much grease, if any. Don’t add grease with the pump installed or you risk blowing out your seals.
I’ll go over these changes and include some short video clips of cruising on the Ohio River.
