The NBA 2K14 Retro Series is once again flashing back to the NB80s and its fantastic action! Although there was a galaxy of stars including young guns who were set to be the faces of the 90s, the 80s were undeniably the Magic vs. Bird Era. To that end, these iconic rivals lead another clash between their storied teams, in a game that we can place sometime in 1986. Will Magic Johnson lead Showtime to victory in the showdown, or will reigning MVP Larry Bird add to his legend?

The NBA 2K14 Retro Series is a celebration of NBA history, featuring classic matchups and famous games being re-played with the PlayStation 4 version of NBA 2K14. Post-production effects and an era-specific commercial at the half are intended to evoke a feeling of finding an old game on VHS or DVD, and watching an original broadcast on a then-contemporary TV. Games are played with both the original classic teams, and makeshift classic teams created through the game's limited roster editing. Enjoy a window into the NBA's past, via one of the best basketball video games of all-time!
