Al-Zahrawi (also known as Abulcasis) was a Muslim physician and surgeon who lived in the Andalusian city of Córdoba in the 10th century.
He is considered one of the greatest medieval surgeons and is sometimes referred to as the "father of surgery".

Al-Zahrawi wrote one of the most important medical texts of the Middle Ages, the Kitab al-Tasrif (The Method of Medicine),
which was a comprehensive medical encyclopedia that covered a wide range of medical topics including surgery, pharmacology, anatomy,
and obstetrics. The book was translated into Latin in the 12th century and became a standard medical text in Europe for centuries.
