Weather Impact Alert in Northeast Ohio: Area-wide snow early Friday then lake effect

We will have another round of Weather Impact Alerts Friday into early Saturday in Northeast Ohio. Our next storm system will bring area-wide accumulating snow early Friday before winds turn out of the northwest helping to reignite and redirect lake effect snow into both the primary and secondary snowbelts.

Travel could get tricky from Friday morning through Saturday with the lake snow and blustery conditions. Low visibility, blowing, and drifting will all be possible as winds continue to gust over 30 mph.

Most areas will wake up to at least a dusting on Monday morning, up to 1-2 inches for some. Plan on needing some extra travel time.
