A new panic button system was installed at the Mayimbe Deli & Grocery store on E. Third Street in Mount Vernon. The donated technology was put in place after a suspect sent one worker to the hospital with a broken nose and threatened another worker with a butcher knife. Surveillance camera images from the violent assault against workers at the store are stirring up fears and concerns throughout the Hudson Valley among other bodega workers and owners.
