Step 1: Preheat the mold and conductors with a torch for 3-4minutes each, make sure their surfaces are dry enough, then use a wire brush to clean the dried surfaces to remove any dirt or oxides.(This is very important because it can get rid of any excess moisture that could negatively affect the welding quality)
Step 2: Insert the conductor in the mold’s cavity
Step 3: Put EPLUS powder cup into the mold, and close the lid
Step 4: Connect the quick connector between the electronic starter and the cup
Step 5: After confirming the safety of surroundings(it’s forbidden to stand in front of the crater), then the operator can press the two switch buttons at the same time and wait for the ignition
Step 6: Wait approximately 10 seconds, open the mold and remove any remaining slags with a steel shovel
Then you get a clean, beautiful, smooth and strongest exothermic welding joint.
