This project goes back to the origins of photography in which experiment was of great importance and does so at a time when we are surrounded by digital photography and the creative process is less traditional. Jaya Pelupessy and Felix van Dam have combined their expertise and developed a new technique, based partly on photography and partly on graphic design and screen printing.

The exhibition Traces of the Familiar reflects on how objects are translated presented by the camera, taking photos as archeological finds. The artwork reconsiders the original bearer of photography by investigating different ways of presentation.
