The Aust Ferry was a Ferry Service that operated across the River Severn between Aust & Beachely (both Gloucestershire).

The popular ferry was a great way in and out of Wales as it saved a 60 mile round trip to the nearest fixed crossing.

The last trip was in 1966, due to the opening of the Severn Bridge and of course the new bridge we still use today.

Bob Dylan actually sailed the ferry back in the 60s on his way to a gig in Cardiff.
