Cultural Betrayal Trauma in BIPOC Communities - Liberation Approaches to Healing

Cultural betrayal trauma, which occurs within marginalized communities, can severely affect mental, physical, behavioral, and cultural health beyond trauma in non-marginalized groups. We demonstrate how relational cultural therapy (RCT) can be used as a non-pathologizing, liberatory approach to healing with Black women and girls and with Asian Americans.
