Learn the Māori language (te reo Māori) through pictorial contexts. Visual imagery can help capture the purpose and understanding through changing contexts, namely, through images and actions rather than dialogue or narration. It relies on the audience's interpretation and understanding of the visuals to convey the messages. These videos use rote, repetition, and reduplication (tāruarua) techniques. Learners are able to focus on revolving sequences and patterns viz relationships between sight and meaning.

These videos are basic language tools. Learners are encouraged to access a number of other language resources to widen and further advance their learning.

Please note: Some language terms are attributed to tribal usage and to language currency in modern Māori society. I take full responsibility for any errors that may have occurred in the creation and delivery of this content.
