Western North America is rich in trout diversity. Shaped by thousands of years of active geology and climate change trout have diversified into a myriad of species and subspecies.

The goal of "Native Trout" is to document and tell the story of these remarkable animals and to highlight the conservation needs of these aquatic jewels.

In this episode I highlight Westslope Cutthroat Trout found primarily in Idaho and Montana but in this episode I focus on one of the disjunct populations in central Washington.
