Inspiration behind this video:

Zack Snyder's Justice League will debut on HBO Max as a mini-series, but how each episode be divided up? Officially announced this past May to land on HBO Max next year, the Snyder Cut's initial presentation on HBO Max will be in the form of four hour-long episodes. This opens the question of where each Snyder Cut segment will end, and while it's total conjecture at the moment as to how it will play out, there are some indications of where a good endpoint for each episode could be.

The first episode seems likely to be devoted to the history lesson depicting Darkseid's first invasion of Earth along with the beginnings of Bruce and Diana's efforts to form the Justice League. The first teaser even showed Diana discovering the mural of Darkseid, clearly recognizing him as the looming force of evil that he is. With that in mind, this moment could be a good way to end the first episode, with Bruce already making preliminary efforts to round up the other members of the League, and Diana ascertaining the true impending threat from Apokolips, which could allow the second episode to start off with Diana informing Bruce of how dire the threat is.

With Cyborg also having a very central role in Snyder's version of the movie, his own backstory prior to his cybernetic transformation will also probably be featured in the first episode, as well. As Bruce and Diana recruit Victor Stone, Arthur Curry, and Barry Allen to the League, the second episode could also go more in-depth into Victor's tragic origins, the depression he goes through at what he has become, and his gradual understanding of his newfound powers. At that point, the League's first battle with Steppenwolf could be seen in episode two, while a good place for it to conclude could be in their decision to resurrect Superman.

While the first two episodes featuring one or two Superman flashbacks seems like a reasonable expectation, the third episode is surely the latest point where Kal-El can come back into the fold. From there, Cyborg's vision of the Knightmare future, the Hero's Park battle, the death of Silas Stone, and Steppenwolf getting his hands on the last Mother Box would follow. At that point, a smart place for the episode to conclude could be with Clark fully coming back to his senses with Lois Lane and Martha Kent on the Kent Farm.

Naturally, the last episode would then be focused on the League's final battle with Steppenwolf. A good spot for it to kick off from could be with Clark getting the black suit from the Kryptonian scout ship. After the defeat of Steppenwolf, the mini-series could then have its denouement with the send-offs for the individual heroes, and the story concluding on the ending that Snyder intends.

Obviously, this is all theoretical, and with there being far more material in the four-hour-long Snyder Cut (including the new addition of Jared Leto's Joker), it's impossible to say with certainty exactly where each episode will begin and end. However, Snyder's put out enough information about it that some educated guesses can be made about how the story will play out from one installment to the next. Until it's finally unveiled next year, Zack Snyder's Justice League will continue to be under the microscope, but the layout above could represent a possible template for how it will unfold.
