In this Communication Strategy and Skills Technique, Rephrase; don't repeat. Rephrasing your questions or statements is an effective communication strategy or skill when someone asks you to repeat. If they do not hear you correctly the first time, it is unlikely they will understand you again if you repeat the phrase the exact same way. Instead, convey your message using different words and rephrase the content.
