Here's the thing. Everyone knows that story about I think it was Cortes when he discovered the New World. How he burned his ships behind him so that all the sailors and all the New World people can go and be motivated to take on their challenges. They work on total commission. Now a lot of people, when they're getting new jobs, they're always worried what's the base salary. The base salary is exactly what's holding you back from reaching super stardom. Because you have that little in the back. So here's what I suggest you do. Try to change your compensation plan. And, yes, I said it! I know you've earned it. I know you've got all this stuff. Your compensation: it's much better to get more commission and less base than more base and less commission. And if you can't change it, then try to live on only your commission and forget about that base. Just sock that away. That's just extra. Here's the thing. And I know that it's a challenging thing to go by. You have to understand that your future is based on what you do today. Not on what you try to live off of, that security deposit in the back. Myself, I forfeit all government extras. No social security, no welfare, no benefits, no food stamps. No, nothing. No healthcare subsidies. I don't want any of that stuff. Because as soon as you take that drug, you're hooked forever. Your future and your future success is relying on you being your best today and every day! And you can't do that if you're sitting back on your laurels. So don't do it! Give up all that stuff and shoot for the stars! You'll make it!
