The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in the United States for teachers: you can incorporate this topics into your curriculum through broader standards related to reading, writing, and research.

Here are some ways you can align the study of Bali or Indonesian culture with CCSS:

English Language Arts (ELA) Standards
Reading Informational Texts (RI)

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RI.4.2: Determine the main idea of a text and explain how it is supported by key details; summarize the text.

Example: Students can read informational texts and watch videos about Bali and summarize the main ideas about its culture and history.

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RI.7.1: Cite several pieces of textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text or videos.
