This video was made to help a student who was getting null values when peforming a join. The problem was FIPS fields in the Tracts feature layer and in data table CSV file appeared to have identical values but still would not join properly. The problem was caused due the respective FIPS fields were not the same data type. The Tracts table had FIPS set to Text, while the CSV table had FIPS set to Double. This video demonstrates how to remedy this issue and create a successful join.
