The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) with Sailors and Marines arrive in Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam for join the international maritime military exercise known as Rim of the Pacific

Twenty-six countries bring in more than 25,000 military personnel to events in and around Hawaiʻi and Southern California.

The naval wargames include training, security and defense drills.

The world’s largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world’s oceans.
