Aryan Invasion Theory - Linguistic Evidence - Koenraad Elst -

In this #IndicTalk, Belgian Indologist Koenraad Elst analyzes the linguistic evidence of the Aryan Invasion Theory. He refers to the 2017 report in which secularists claim victory in the case of AIT by claiming that genetics proves it. Elst begins by saying that the evidence of genetics that we have now does not show evidence of movement.

Refuting the Aryan Invasion Theory on the basis of the linguistic evidence that we have, he discusses the politics that encouraged the denial of India as the origin of Indo-European culture and languages in the 19th time. There was a time in 18th and 19th century when Europe had almost discovered and accepted India as its original homeland but then racist ideas, Eurocentrism and colonial urges forced them to make a U-turn and as a result Sanskrit was denied as the mother of all Indo-European languages and an imaginary non-existent language called Proto-Indo-European was invented.

Rejecting the Central Asian and Pontic homeland for the mythic 'Aryans' Elst gives linguistic evidence from various languages and illustrates how these beliefs are based on flimsy evidence and faulty reasoning.
