Angel park is more than just a golf course…..

For me it’s about nostalgia and bringing back childhood memories.

Growing up as a kid in Kansas and playing junior golf I started out playing on a par 3 course at Overland Park Golf Course. Every summer they had a 3 day junior tournament and I played it almost every year from as early as I can remember. Some of my best memories are from playing in that tournament having my mom there every day walking along side me getting pictures and videos. My grandpa would come out occasionally as well. I got lot’s of 2nds 3rds 4ths and the occasional 5th. I was a little more focused being the starting quarterback for the football team than I was with golf before I got into the sophomore year of high school. Ofc a few years before that I’d already seen Tiger come on the scene and I was like ok I want to be that guy! First day I saw the Nike commercial of him juggling a ball I went into the front yard of my grandparents house and started trying to learn to juggle. After a few hours of struggle I got decent enough at it then finally got 365 in a row before calling it quits. The rest as they say is history I guess. Got a bit sidetracked there with storytime but then point is mainly that Angel Park and specifically the par 3 Cloud 9 course is a very nostalgic place for me and part of the reason I went by Cloud 9 golfer for a few years and why many still know me as that.

Beginner or seasoned player old or young Angel park has something for everyone of all ages and skill levels and the par 3 course is a great place to get out have a great time and work on dialing in the short game!
