Benchmarks include Blender 4.3 classroom renders, FLUX text-to-image generation and upscaling in ComfyUI, VibeVoice and TTS audio generation and LM Studio with QWEN. For ComfyUI there was a manual upgrade required to fully utilize the new GPU. This step itself was probably the most difficult and time consuming, but if you follow the official guidance from ComfyUI site for 50 series cards you should be ok.

The results show consistent gains in the 20–45% range for most workloads, with standout improvements in AI-heavy tasks. Token generation in LM Studio more than doubled, and text-to-speech generation saw a dramatic reduction in processing time. These gains come not just from raw performance, but also from architectural improvements and double the VRAM, which makes a big difference when working with larger models.

If you’re running local AI models, image generation, upscaling, audio, or video workflows, the RTX 5060 Ti offers a noticeable quality-of-life upgrade: faster iterations, fewer memory limits, and smoother experimentation, all while keeping similar size, connectivity, and power requirements.

This upgrade made a lot of sense for me as I continue learning AI on a budget, especially given the value the card offered at the time of purchase. Since then, RAM shortages have worsened, and NVIDIA’s decision to scale back some consumer GPUs, including the RTX 5060 Ti, has driven prices even higher. Right now, I’m seeing the 8GB version selling for more than what I paid for the 16GB model, with far fewer 16GB cards available.
