Acrylic pros
No oxidation, minimal teeth marks, wide variety of colours, durable & minimum after care.
Cons.
Some say the bite is harder and not as comfortable & feels a bit clicky when clenched.

Vulcanite / Ebonite pros & cons
Pros.
feel' and jaw comfort: Feels softer and more comfortable to clench, Deeper & richer appearance & looks higher end.
Cons
Oxidation & vulnerability to tooth marks, needs maintenance to prevent oxidation, after a while after oxidation process has begun some can taste the sulphur as it rises from the rubber to the surface.

In a nutshell, goes with the trade-off between comfort and upkeep.
