Hanson Chien has taken a classic penetration effect and improved upon it to make it not only a penetration but also a deck transformation routine. The performer is able to take a solid deck of cards and have a card penetrate the deck of cards, but it doesn't end there the performer is then able to reveal that the deck has now transformed into a solid block of wood. The performer can hand the solid block to the spectator and see it is inpenetrable and solid. This penetration may be more practical for many performers compared to other versions of this plot.
