2007 Afghanistan War: Operation Glacier - Battle Of The Jugroom Fort | DCS Reenactment

Today we look at part of operation Herrick by the British armed forces during the 2001-2021 Afghan conflict. Operation Glacier was an attack by 45 Commando Royal Marines with supporting forces on the insurgent-held Jugroom Fort in the Helmand Province. During the attack a royal marine is left behind in the fort. A famous and brave rescue is scrambled by four marines strapping themselves to two AH-64 Apaches and flying into the fort to save the stricken marine!
