HEARTBREAKER/LIVING LOVING MAID * DRUM COVER*

The thing about Heartbreaker is, many people think that Bonzo was playing 16th notes on the hi-hat but he did not. There was a delay type effect that was used post recording. There are isolated drum tracks for four songs from Zeppelin 2, which most hardcore Bonham-ites are familiar with, and the iso track makes it very clear to hear how he played this tune. This is another great beat that features his trademark ghosting on the snare , and a lilting almost swung type feel. The bass drum work is also more involved than meets the eye/ear. He plays some quick doubles at times and a lot of 3 successive 16th note combinations during the end of the verse leading up to the guitar solo and during the last few bars of the guitar solo.

LLM is a tune that doesn't get much love from hardcore Zep fans as its a bit of a radio single type fluff tune. Its not their strongest composition...but it's a classic nonetheless, and Bonzo plays beautifully on it. Once again, the bass drum part is very active , with many 3 note 16th note combinations.
