Stormruler is the main boss of the second area (or world) in the game Ceres. This boss is significantly more difficult than Rotatron from the first level.

The fight against Stormruler has two distinct phases. The first phase is similar to the Rotatron boss fight in level one. You must use your machine gun to target and destroy four weak spots (marked in green) on Stormruler's body. Once all four are destroyed, the second phase begins.

Be careful of the boss’s bullets—they are fast and can change direction. If you find yourself in trouble, use your boost ability to dodge them.

In phase two, the boss rotates 90 degrees and becomes much more aggressive. It starts firing large cannon blasts and launches multiple small homing rockets that will follow you wherever you go. Your objective in this phase is to destroy two weak points (also marked in green) to defeat the boss.

The fastest way to beat Stormruler is to get close to its body during the first phase and shoot each green weak spot one at a time. Staying close helps you avoid both bullets and laser attacks.

For the second phase, use either the Overdrive weapon—which can quickly destroy the weak points—or bombs, which eliminate them instantly. Try to save your Overdrive or bombs for this final phase, and avoid using them on smaller enemies earlier in the level.
