Norwegian Stave Churches - Introduction

The oldest Norwegian stave churches were built during the end of the Viking Age. We estimate that we at one point had about 1000 stave churches in Norway, but almos all were lost. 28 remains today. This is the intro of a series where I explore the remaining stave churches in Norway.
