Sunday worship service with Rev. Beth Hayward, live streamed on April 30, 2023 at Canadian Memorial United Church as we start our 5 week sermon series titled "Above all else Love". Join Canadian Memorial United, in person and live-streamed, as we mark the ending of 11 years of being community with our leader Rev. Beth Hayward. She will be talking about "Fearless Receptivity". You'll be invited to light a candle with us during the service, so you may wish to get one ready now. The order of service is below. Everything else you'll need to follow along will be on the screen.

Endings are a time to take stock, to reflect on successes and failures, a time to prepare the ground for an unknown future, a real-life learning lab where we practice doing goodbye well. Endings always risk exposing our vulnerabilities and fears, we can feel exposed and so too can we feel the urgency to speak and act while there is still time. Over the next 5 weeks, Rev. Beth will set the tone for CMUC’s transition as she explores the postures we might take during times of change and transition.

Join us, will you? Don’t think for a moment that this is not the right time to invite someone new to join you. In fact, witnessing a community willing to speak with authenticity about the difficult work of change, might be just what a friend needs to turn their idea of church on its head and find their way into a community of transformation.
