Olympic track star Sha'Carri Richardson was arrested last weekend at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. This was just days after she competed at the U.S. track and field championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Richardson was allegedly at the center of a verbal altercation with a man as they were leaving airport security. The Seattle Police Department said she pushed the man and he fell into a nearby column.

The Associated Press reported that Richardson was arrested on a fourth-degree domestic violence offense. She was booked into the South Correctional Entity in Washington.

"We are aware of the report and we have no comment at this time," USA Track and Field said.

It turns out Richardson's boyfriend, world champion sprinter Christian Coleman, was identified as victim in this incident. He opened up about this situation on Sunday.

"For me personally, I feel like it was a sucky situation all round," Coleman said, via USA Today. "I don't feel like she should have been arrested. I mean people have discussions and emotions and stuff like that. She has things that she needs to work on for herself, of course. So do I, so do you, so does everybody. But I'm the type of guy who's in the business of extending grace, and mercy and love."
