🇨🇭🚂 The best luxury train in Switzerland? The Bernina Express or the Glacier Express?

Save for your Switzerland travel trip

The luxury panoramic trains in Switzerland have to be on your travel bucket list. I highly recommend doing both the Glacier Express train and the Bernina Express train with a stopover in Chur. If you have to choose either the Glacier Express or the Bernina Express which would it be?

THE GLACIER EXPRESS
→ the world’s slowest express train
→ 8 hours from Zermatt to St. Moritz
→ luxury panoramic carriages
→ takes seasonal breaks
→ full food service on board

THE BERNINA EXPRESS
→ 4 hours from Chur in Switzerland to Tirano in Italy
→ Continue the journey on the Bernina Express bus past Lake Como to Lugano in Switzerland
→ runs all year round
→ snack and drinks service on board
→ complimentary tea and lindt chocolates

For both luxury trains in Switzerland you need both a train travel ticket and a seat reservation and booking is advised months in advance.
