This week on the homestead, I’m continuing to build the life I’ve been dreaming of. Solo off-grid living on 40 acres of high desert comes with endless projects — planting more trees and shrubs for my future food forest, working on my studio build, and most exciting of all… starting the traditional process of tanning a bison hide.

It’s a slow, steady rhythm of hard work, planning around weather, and watching the land come alive one step at a time. I’m doing this all while living in my DIY van with Akela, surrounded by big skies, snow-capped mountains, and wide open space.
