Thailand’s Tallest Skyscraper Is A Spiral Of Glitchy Pixels

It’s one thing to build an enormous skyline-dominating skyscraper, it’s another to make it perform a light show for the entire city.

Thailand’s new tallest building, The MahaNakhon in Bangkok, officially “debuted” on August 29 with the above display. The1,029-foot-tall, 77-story building cost more than half a billion dollars.

Its reign as the flashy, glittery queen of the Bangkok sky will end in 2019, though, when the Rama IX Super Tower goes up. That building will surpass MahaNakhon’s height by almost 1,000 feet. No word on how cool its light show will be.
