Interesting to note that while everywhere it is mentioned as सोवत निंदिया जगाये, there are other documented versions where it is about ननंददया, i.e. the sister in law, as Erika Caranti notes in her PhD dissertation:

Pt. Kiśorī Lāl Gosvāmī

This caitī by Kiśorī Lāl Gosvāmī exists in different variants and is part of ṭhumrī repertoire, presenting the conventional theme of the virah combined with the folk character of the nanad. The pad-stobh ‘sovat nindiyā jagāī ho rāmā’ features in several compositions of the genre and I have observed that it is particularly popular in the musical tradition of Banaras.137
