Tropical Storm Debby forms, expected to be a hurricane by Monday and hit Florida's Gulf Coast

Tropical storm Debby formed late Saturday (August 3) and was expected to surge up into a hurricane before it slams into Florida's northern Gulf Coast shoreline on Monday (August 5), the National Hurricane Center said.
