The Guru is Unrecognizable.
Sri Sri Sri Acharya Prabodhananda Yogeeswarlu says,
We're discussing about the Guru today, since today is the Gurupournami.
We said that, a person isn't a Guru and it's impossible to recognize the Guru.
In that case, why do we even celebrate this day called Gurupournami?
Why do we even have a special day called Gurupournami?
Why do we have to recollect this day at all?
Why don't we just spend this day just like any other day?
Why should we even give the name of the Gurupournami?
You don't accept the word God, good
You don't accept that the God didn't offer the Knowledge, that's fine too.
In that case, why are you celebrating the Guru pournami as a special day?
Why are you adoring a Guru as a symbolic gesture?
Many people have their own Guru's to pay respects today.
Some pay their respects to the Sai Baba.
Some pay respects to another one, some to another one.
Why are they paying their respects to someone?
It's actually a wrong thing to do.
If I say they're wrong, they'd get upset about it and that's why we have to say they're right.
Even though they're wrong, we should encourage them because
At least they're connected with someone as their Guru.
That's why we should say, learn about the description of the Guru first and adore him per that understanding.
There exists a Guru, and learn who that is and then adore him.
Don't worship anyone blindly.
Check the one you're connected is the true Guru or not.
