Kinloch Campsite is in an amazing setting on the shores of Loch Dunvegan. Located in the northwest of the Isle of Skye, it is the only site on Skye with both a stunning waterfront location and easy access to all the services of a traditional Highland village. The site is on a former croft at the head of scenic Loch Dunvegan and is overlooked by MacLeod’s Tables, two distinctive flat-topped hills that dominate the skyline. There are pitches right on the loch shore giving visitors amazing views and making it the perfect spot from which to watch the many and varied birds that populate these tidal waters, including the occasional eagle. Seals are also regular visitors. Dunvegan is the ideal base to explore the north of Skye and is a popular diversion on the North Coast 500. The site has 120 grass or hard standing pitches most with electric hook-up 16amp. There are large tent areas where owners can choose their spot to pitch their tents.

The village of Dunvegan is a five-minute walk from the site and has a good range of shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and other services. Just on the other side of the village is the famous Dunvegan Castle and its magnificent gardens, seat of the Chiefs of the Clan MacLeod for over 800 years and one of Skye’s most popular attractions.
