Ford’s evergreen Fiesta was a million-seller within its first generation, but despite rallying success from the likes of Roger Clark, there was no true hot version. That was, until the XR2, a sporty pocket rocket with chunky styling, sports suspension and more power. Come the Mk2 version, the XR2 gained the more powerful CVH engine from its Escort XR3 big brother, granting it more power as well as revised styling.
