Buckingham Palace 'concerned' as Sussexes' living expenses 'add up'

There is concern from Buckingham Palace that when the Sussexes’ money starts to dry up, they’re going to “go back to their shenanigans and their antics”, says writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue.

Ms Krakue said the Palace estimates Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are spending at least $20 million a year just to exist.

“You have to factor in what exactly they’re spending their money on, so apparently their mansion in Montecito, they took out a mortgage of about $9 million," Ms Krakue told Sky News host Caroline Di Russo.

"Their security alone a year is probably worth at least a few million dollars, and so when you look at it from that perspective, their living expenses are adding up.

“So what happens when the deals run dry? Spotify’s out the door, Netflix is a hundred million dollars … so how are they going to sustain themselves?”
