NBC, SERC discuss crypto asset regulation guideline

Is Cambodia About to Reinvent Crypto Regulation?

Cambodia is taking a major step toward safer digital finance. In Phnom Penh, the National Bank of Cambodia and the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia met to shape a joint guideline for crypto asset supervision.

The meeting took place on Monday and brought together senior leaders from both institutions.

They reviewed a draft framework designed to manage risks and strengthen oversight in the fast growing digital asset market.

Experts from D2 Legal Technology joined the session to provide insights on global best practices.

The draft guideline will offer clarity for market participants.

This coordinated effort aims to attract more domestic and foreign investment. It also strengthens Cambodia’s standing in anti money laundering compliance.
