In this episode we put our Golf R mk7 which is currently Stage 2 tuned by us here at DK Tuning against a stage 2 tuned Cupra 300, also tuned by ourselves.

The only difference between the two? AWD vs FWD! The Seat's always run the power through the front tyres where as the Golf R platforms have a clever Haldex unit which switches the power between front and back allowing for much better acceleration.

We therefore started with some 0-60 times using the Dragy app where in the Cupra we saw around 5.6 seconds we were getting high 3 seconds in the Golf r (slightly damp).

Then onto the rolling start which was a bit closer, in fact very close. Some times the Cupra pulled on the Golf R and other times the Golf R pulled on the Cupra. When both launches were Very similar there wasn't much difference at all and almost neck on neck.

It was another great test for our Golf R, also a great test for the Cupra 300 platform which is the same engine as in our Golf.
